The Esther Beanland Medal is a medallion awarded at the Annual Speech Day and Distribution of Prizes Ceremony to a student who produces an item of original textile design using fabrics and stitchery, handwork or a sewing machine.
Techniques may include embroidery, beading, patchwork, crotchet, knitting and weaving. An element of fabric painting may also be used.
Interested students are encouraged to attend the workshop and information session that will be held on Monday 18 January 2019 in room A605 at 1.30 pm.
Work must be reviewed during the working process by Head of Visual Art, Mr Donald Pincott, and submitted no later than 3.10 pm on Friday 9 August 2019.
