Share the Dignity–August Dignity Drive

A committee of volunteers from Year 10, under the leadership of Service Captains, Jillian Campbell (12O) and Sierra Reza (12H), has collected multiple boxes of donated period products from our School community.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the August Dignity Drive. More than 500 products have been sorted into smaller packages, with assistance from the students of 11 Beanland. Volunteers from Share the Dignity will collect these donated items from Girls Grammar and deliver them directly to local charities.

Share the Dignity work alongside a range of Australian Charities to assist them with the hygiene products that women and girls experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, from drought-affected farming communities, indigenous communities and families experiencing financial hardship, might need.

The Service Crew plans to participate in the ‘It’s in the Bag’ campaign in October and November. Suggested items to include in quality used bags for women, teenagers, and young mums can be found on the attached poster.
