Chinese Speaking Competition

On Saturday 25 May 2019, seven Grammar girls participated in the 2019 Chinese Language Speaking Competition, hosted by Queensland University of Technology Confucius Institute and the Chinese Language Teachers’ Association of Queensland.

The Chinese Language Speaking Competition promotes the value of learning Chinese and provides students an opportunity to develop their confidence by speaking Chinese in front of an audience.

This year, there were more than 400 competitors from schools across Queensland. Students prepared their own speeches to deliver in Chinese on the day. All students presented admirably and should be proud of their efforts. Congratulations to Emma Armitage-Ho(9R), Ella Coxon (9W), Cathy Lin (7W), Ginger McKeddie (8G), Maegan Morris (8W), Yun Xing (Victoria) Qing (11H) and Tiffany Yeo (9E).
