French Excursion

Earlier this year, Year 11 and 12 French students were invited to watch the Brisbane French Theatre Company’s production, Repeat After Me, a bilingual comedy. The play told the story of Amy, a student who has just turned 18, and her passion for everything French. After falling in love with a French backpacker, Amy decides to follow him to France.

The play was a very enjoyable and entertaining comedy, and a great opportunity to test our French skills and understanding. It was also a valuable experience as we were able to explore French culture outside of the classroom. Opportunities like these allow students to fully immerse themselves in French, rendering it one of the most enjoyable subjects.

From this, we grow an appreciation for French education and understand the significance of learning another language. It is important in today’s society to explore and acknowledge other cultures and languages, such as French, as it allows girls to gain a wider understanding of the world in which we live.
