Held on Saturday 15 February, the Intermediate and Junior Strings Workshop was an unforgettable occasion. BGGS string players worked with special guest music clinician, Ms Monique Bartkowiak, to develop new and exciting music skills. Ms Bartkowiak sings while playing intricate accompaniments on the cello—a unique style that has brought her great acclaim internationally, including most recently for her performance alongside Kate Miller-Heidke at Eurovision Australia Decides.
The workshop also allowed girls to develop their curriculum music knowledge by learning to sing and play their instruments. Their enthusiasm and willingness to try new and challenging techniques made for an extremely successful day of learning.
