Earlier this term, Zoe Mellick (10H) captivated students and staff at Assembly with her performance of an original song, Silver Medals.
The song, which Zoe wrote in the space of an afternoon, is about perseverance and not being discouraged by coming in second place.
For Zoe, songwriting comes naturally, normally writing one song a week. She also produces the music that accompanies her songs, having played the guitar and piano since Year 4.
‘I really enjoy song writing. I find putting lyrics together a therapeutic process and I look forward to learning more about the production side of songwriting and performing my music live in the future.’
